Description Technical Specs Extended Information

Extremely easy to apply. Even first time users can expect perfect results. Absolutely will not overlap, run or leave drip marks. Dives deep to replenish old dry wood. Loaded with transoxide pigments providing much better coverage than other paraffinic stains. Ideal for annual or semi annual maintenance .

If you have ever worked with paraffinic based wood stains, Woodrich Brand Timber Oil will have a familiar ease of use. No matter what application method you choose, it is impossible to cause any lap marks or runs. Even those who have never worked with wood at all can achieve a beautiful finish their very first try with this easy to use product.

For those who have used other paraffinic based products in the past, the most striking difference with Woodrich Brand Timber Oil is quality. Boasting extremely high pigment content Woodrich Brand Timber Oil will not color shift or "fade out" like other products. Woodrich Brand Timber Oil is also loaded down with enough antifungal agents to knock out any existing mold and mildew spores and help prevent new growth for several years even in the most challenging environments.

Our anti-fungal package has been "jungle tested" and proven effective against over 250 known sources of mold and mildew.

What this means to you is greater protection from less product. In fact you can expect to use about 20% less product to achieve the same results you get from other brands. This may not mean much on a 12'x12' deck, but it will add up to thousands of dollars over the year for a contractor.

When you apply Woodrich Brand Timber Oil you will see the rich oils dive deep into the wood, replenishing it and occupying the voids that may otherwise trap moisture. Replenishing old dry wood will help to dramatically extend it's service life. Even old neglected wood siding will be rejuvenated by the deep conditioning oils.

Choosing an oil based stain color for your wood siding, garden deck or patio is a very personal decision. Each of our stain colors was designed with a specific type of wood in mind.

Our most popular cedar deck stain for example is Warm Honey Gold. This is a popular cedar stain because in most cases the honey gold stain is very neutral on cedar wood. It looks about the color of the wood when it is damp.

If you have a cedar garden deck that is surrounded by colorful landscaping however, you might choose a darker wood stain to give the deck a more subdued look. For example, our Amaretto stain color will give a new cedar deck a bit of a reddish bronze patina. Brown Sugar is more bronzy on a cedar deck without the hint of red.

It's always best to test the color of each stain on wood matching your deck. If you are building a new cedar deck, new log home or installing new wood siding, try to retain some of the scrap wood to help pick the wood stain color that is right for you.

Application Instructions
  • Timber Oil can be applied by brush, roller, rag or spray.
Apply in one saturating coat allowing the wood to absorb as much product as it can take.
You can brush our or wipe any puddles that are not absorbed by the wood after 10 min.

Shake well prior to use. If you will be working from more than one container, it is a good idea to box your materials prior to use.

5 of 5 Best stain for Ipe Decks February 21, 2016

I used Penofin for years. Woodrich Wiping Stain is by far the best product I have found for use on Ipe decks and railings.

5 of 5 Best stain I've ever used September 1, 2015
Reviewer: Jim Bower from Gainesville, GA United States
This was my second order as I was so satisfied with the first. I used the honey brown on my cedar rails and the amaretto on the pressure treated deck. If the deck is cleaned and sanded to a new look, the two colors are almost a perfect match. I like the fact that there are no brush marks, even if you stop and go back.

5 of 5 Perfect color and easy application! May 9, 2015
Reviewer: Sheri from Decatur, GA United States
This was my first time staining a deck and it couldn't have been easier. Used a Wagner air sprayer and backbrushed immediately after spraying. I was afraid of the drips I made on the stairs while doing the raills but I just sprayed the stairs and backbrushed, and the drips disappeared! I wanted a stain that matched the hardwood floors inside my house and Amaretto is near perfect. My front porch and stairs look the best in the neighboorhood. Excellent product!
